DOG COLLARS & LEADS
IN BEST BRIDLE LEATHER from WOODPECKER LEATHERS
Please note best bridle training leads are available

Let’s face it: there have been quite a few changes since our earliest ancestors had the great idea of keeping a wolf for a
pet. Back then, the playful little critters could bite off his owner's leg and run of with it. Or, as the owner would allow it to run into some undergrowth to take care of some business, he would see a flash of the animal's tail as it shot off into the distance, never to be seen again.
Thankfully, these days the worst your dog would do is run off with your shoe, and instead of running into the undergrowth, your dog will more likely find a bus queue to do it in front of, and then wag his tail while everybody watches you clear it up...
One vast improvement in the keeping of dogs is the collar and lead
Whereas, in the old days, the lucky dog owner tied a piece of string around its neck to stop it from running away, we now use a purpose-made leather collar and lead making It a lot easier to drag the dog off the bed and get it to go for a walk.
Dog collars and leads have changed a lot since the humble bit of string. Even in those days, it would most likely have been a thin strip of leather. But man (being man) could not leave it at that; as time went on and new things came along, dog leads began to evolve. And so when buckles were invented, the leads partner came along. The leads and collars of today are many and varied, ranging from the ½” wide size made for the smaller dogs, up to the 1 ¼” wide variety made for the larger dog breeds. The best bridle leather version of these leads and collars are strong enough to hold back a horse, so you should be pleased to know when your dog decides to chase a cat YOU are definitely going with him!
JUST A SMALL NOTE FROM THE WIFE:
(AT THIS POINT I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT ANDY'S KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY IS NOT ANYWHERE AS ADVANCED AS HIS LEATHER WORK...SO IT MAY NOT BE ENTIRELY ACCURATE!)
